GET TO KNOW OUTLOOK’S PEOPLE

This month:

MIKE MCNELIS

Mike is Regional Director of Outlook Management Group’s Philadelphia office. Outside of work, Mike loves to run ultra-marathons, travel, see live music, and spend time with his family.

Who’s your family?
My wife, Stephanie and our two daughters, Charlotte, who’s 8, and Evelyn, who’s 5. Being my girls’ dad is also my proudest accomplishment. My family inspires me to be the best I can be.

When you’re not working, what do you enjoy doing?
Running ultra-marathons and going to concerts.

Do you volunteer?
Yes, I mentor students from the Liguori Academy, a private high school in Philadelphia that helps young adults transition from school to the workplace or higher education. I also volunteer with Students Run Philly Style, a non-profit that helps kids and young adults understand what it means to live a healthy life mentally and physically through the sport of running.

What’s the best place you’ve ever travelled to?
Dingle, Ireland. It’s small, peaceful, and breathtakingly beautiful. Fun fact: It is the westernmost point in Europe.

What’s the most challenging thing you’ve ever done?
I completed a 50-mile foot race called the JFK 50.

What’s something on your bucket list?
To run a 100-mile foot race.

What well-known person would you most like to sit and talk with?
Jack Nicholson. I’d love to hear stories of what Los Angeles and Hollywood were like back in the ‘60s and ‘70s.

Do you have a “superpower”?
I can recognize anyone if I’ve seen their face once before.

Is there any life advice you’d share with a teenager or other young person?
Do only what you love. Make no apologies.
